  1. That looks like my trip from John O Groats across the top of Scotland and down the West side.
    Beautiful seacoasts.
The road was one lane with turnabouts for you to pass someone going the other way (whoever was closer backed up to their turnabout). There was a town up there and the restaurant was a trip back in time because during WW2 there was a US base up there so the decor was vintage 1950 when they left.
    Thanks for the memories Yvonne.
Are you going to visit the famous Rosslyn Chapel from the Da Vinci code where the Sinclairs, according to Dan Brown, took care of the descendants of Jesus?
The Sinclairs are MY family clan. Who knew they were so devoted to religion? Certainly not my grandfather 🙂

  2. How great to know your clan! And a famous one! Yes we encountered quite a few of the one lane roads on our journey but luckily I wasn’t the one driving. We took the route from Edinburgh up through Inverness then through Glencoe, over to and through Isle of Skye. We then headed down to London where we dropped the car off, spent a few days there then back via train yesterday to Edinburgh and home tomorrow.
