Around Cortona

Strollong around beautiful Cortona, perfect weather in the mid 70’s. No matter how many times we come back it is always so wonderful to be here. Always looking for new shots to take, but I think I have photographed just about every inch of this town!

Timed Out!

For some reason, for the last 6 days I have been unable to post any photos on to my blog. Even typing this message is like watching what I would imagine an old teletype was like. Pause, click, one letter, pause again. Just to let you know I have so many photos and experiences I want to share so will keep on trying and hopefully will get it figured out. Murphy’s law, technical support for WordPress has been on a retreat during this entire time and state they will return tomorrow, fingers crossed!!

A Few of My Favorite Venice Views

The first photo is the view from our apartment, so nice to have a veranda right on the water, what a wonderful place for breakfast. The second is one of my favorite walks which is the Fondamente Nove, this was taken just as the sun was coming up. The third I took from the vaporetto and the fourth is the Fondamente Nove again, this is the walk we take every morning to go for coffee and croissants at our favorite cafe.

Surrounded By Beauty

No matter where you turn, no matter what street or alley you go down you are sure to find a statue. It almost becomes overwhelming trying to capture and remember all you see. Here are a few of my favorites from around Paris, some from the streets and others from the sights we have visited.

Luxembourg Gardens

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage  We spent quite a bit of time walking through the Luxembourg Gardens. They were just as beautiful and impressive as I had heard. When we first arrived there were only a few people, but within an hour it was packed with locals, tourists and students that were all spread out enjoying lunch.

The building was originally the palace of Marie de Medici and is now used as the Senate. The fountain was commissioned by Marie de Medici.
